Day 13, the 100 Days Project. Cornflower seed.
Seed saved from the cornflowers at our allotment. Feeling like this is a bit of a clumsy drawing.
Day 12, the 100 Days Project. Snake’s head fritillary flower.
These flower petals have a checked purple and white pattern — very hard to draw! Probably not helped by the fact I was drawing in dim light.
Day 11, the 100 Days Project. Sycamore tree seed.
I was out walking and the ground was littered with sycamore seeds. Perfect for this project.
Day 9 & 10, the 100 Days Project. Nigella pod.
I didn’t get time to draw on day 9 so I drew 2 today (day 10). This is a Nigella (love-in-a-mist) seed pod from the garden. Autumn is arriving and the flowers are transforming in to green pods; once they are dry I will save the seeds for next year.
Day 8, the 100 Days Project. Heartsease.
Folklore regards heartsease as a herb to mend broken hearts.
Day 7, the 100 Days Project. Fading fuchsia.
Fuchsia is loved by the bees.
Day 6, the 100 Days Project. Green sweet pea pod.
A fresh green pea pod to compliment the dried pod I drew on day 4.
